I love this Afro could never get mines this perfect. Source
I got my hair to be like that yesterday. I know my hair type is at the low end of African A. hair. It has tight curls, at the roots then it losed it curls as it goes up the strands, and I have knots at the very tip since I have not had a trim since my two double chops.
This is what I did:
I mixed lemon with the shampoo – Jason Natural Cosmetics Dandruff relief– I have dry hair. It is a nice hair cleanser, and leaves the hair softer, and the pores open — I massaged my head for about 15 minutes then washed.
Then I used the Garnier shampoo — Which I really recommend, it doesn’t dry out the hair, and leaves it softer and easy to comb — massaged my head for about 15 minutes, washed it out.
Then I put in the Garnier conditioner, and left it in for 30+mins. Massaged and combed and got the kinks out. Then I put a plastic bag over it, I left it for a 30+ minutes.
I washed it out, and my hair was really soft. I mixed all the hair products that I use into one ball, and heated them, so they could melt and mix better, let it cool.
I put it on to my hair, whilst massaging it and combing. Then wrapped it and put on a plastic cap, and towel over it. To generate heat, and keep the hair moisturised – It’s best to do the plastic and towel hair wrap at night, so you have your heat being generated through the scalp.
The next morning I blew it out, — since my hair loses 98% of its’ length after a wash– put it on high for about 30 secs and put it on low, switch it — and combed it but not to the point when it straighten out.
Then I chiseled it to perfection.
It worked for me, it is really soft now. The softest it has ever been in my entire life.
But as everyone always says, hair needs to be moisturised.

hi!
i have hard thick hair but whenever i wash n blowdry it, it becomes straight yet i always want to achieve such a thick afro. What do i do to have such an afro and what should i also use. Should i blowdry my hair after washing because it shrinks and becomes difficult to comb but i really want such an afro.
